Joan C. Powell--Personal Bio
Joan Ellen Powell lives in Santa Cruz, California with her younger daughter, son-in-law, two grand daughters, and two Siamese cats that insist on helping with her writing. She also writes under her married name. Being a long-term member of her community, Joan Ellen is actively involved in many local organizations and writes articles for a locally published magazine. She has been a member of Romance Writers of America since 1989, and has served as president of her local chapter for the last three years. Often called upon to judge writing contests, critique or advise other writers, she finds it a fulfilling way to make new friends.
